Сollages Art by Deborah Shapiro

Artist Deborah Shapiro lives and works in Ohio. She creates collages from glossy magazines and torn pieces of paper. Deborah has an art education, but in 30 years she has painted only 10 paintings. At the age of 50, she took up collage and only then began to perceive herself as an artist.

One day Deborah was leafing through glossy magazines and noticed bright pictures. It was these images that became Deborah's "colors". Inspired, she created her first collage. Up close, the collage shows a huge amount of detail, and from a distance it looks like a solid object.

Deborah's family — a husband, two dogs, two cats, and an aquarium with exotic fish. Her life is also displayed in the selected themes for paintings: coffee, wine, flowers, and favorite Pets. For Deborah, each collage is like a child that she breathes life into.

In this collage, Deborah used parts of a compass for her eyelids and hot peppers for her collar.

In this collage you will find many hours. Harness and leather belts - from images of sofas, cowboy boots and trousers.

What a charismatic Cockerel on the left. His comb is a dark purple flower, his beard is red lettuce leaves, and on a red background is corn.

These collages on a yellow background hide a rubber duck, an umbrella, corn, plus a bunch of funny pictures.

And in this bird, Deborah especially likes an angry cat in the stomach.

Collage with guitar from a large number of color images: Fox, dog, stuffed animal, toys, leopard, chocolate cookies, tattoo.

And in this collage, a light background with the names of famous people who played this instrument.

Collage - three types of coffee. Someone likes it with cream and sugar, black, or with milk. Each Cup has five or more words that describe this type of coffee.
