At first glance, it seems that the figures of Jan Campbell are carved from wood, but this is not the case. You will never believe it: they are made from an ordinary avocado bone!

Avocado-berry is extremely useful (Yes, it is not a fruit): it contains the whole set of fatty acids and vitamins. It makes delicious sandwiches, salads and pasta sauce. Avocado pulp can even be applied to your face as a mask if you want to look younger. But Ian Campbell from Ireland went the farthest — she was attracted to the bone, which seemed to be a completely useless thing.

How did the master come up with the idea to cut something out of this unconventional material?

It all started in 2014, when the young lady made her favorite avocado toast for lunch and once again sighed heavily: she did not want to throw such a magnificent bone in the trash. Jan was used to being creative about anything, so this time she didn't send the bone to the trash, but put it away. Perhaps the idea of using such a wonderful item will come on its own. And so it happened!

Jan put the bone in her coat pocket and forgot about it. A few days later, the girl accidentally scratched the bone with her fingernail, and a brown pigment with a beautiful pinkish tinge appeared on the surface. Under the impression of this fact, the girl decided to finally try to cut something out of the bone.

After getting special tools, she made her first relief. Jan had been drawn to art before, and she adored drawing, but she liked cutting much more. The material was extremely flexible to work with avocado was an absolute pleasure!

After drying, the sculpture hardened and began to resemble a real tree. Satisfied with the result, Jan embarked on the creative path of an avocado bone Carver.

And rather ran to the supermarket to buy all the avocados!

Jan mostly carves magical forest creatures from Celtic folklore.

The mushroom is probably the cutest:

Have you ever guessed that avocado seeds may contain such potential?

Now Ian not only cuts of avocado, but also produces pendants of bronze.

All of its products are incredibly popular, although they are very expensive.
