One of the expected shows in Paris was the Dior spring-summer 2020 collection.

This season, the podium was miraculously turned into a mysterious forest. 164 species of various young trees, the roots of which were carefully wrapped in sacking, were carefully placed along the path of the procession of beautiful models. Soft light filtered through the trees and created a pleasant atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

The Parisian team of environmental designers, which brought together botanists, gardeners, landscape designers and urban planners, took part in the preparation of such amazing decorations. Their work in the field of landscaping and urban regeneration became the main source of inspiration for Maria Grazia Chiuri (the leading designer of the Dior House). All the plants will later become part of various projects to strengthen forests and create green areas in Paris. Tags were attached to each tree with the names of the trees and the places where they would be planted. As the designer explained, the tree is an important symbol because it is an investment in nature. Planting for the future is a positive action, so the main idea of the new collection is to preserve nature, which, of course, is not surprising in our time. According to Curie ," we need to be creative, but today, we are more conscious about what we do!"No plastic was used in the podium decoration, and all the electricity for the show was produced by generators using rapeseed oil.

The Muse for the new collection was the image of the real miss Dior-Catherine (sister of the founder of the Fashion House-a famous botanist and professional gardener). With her love of nature, she inspired the designer to create such amazing images: restrained natural colors, straw hats, espadrilles, clothing in the tai-Dai technique, classic blue shirts, braided belts in the macrame technique, transparent mesh and a sea of floral embroidery. Environmental friendliness, as the main theme of the new collection, is reflected in the original jewelry created from natural stones and delicately complements the images of models.
