Exhibition Of Paintings By Britney Spears

On January 18, 2020, an exhibition of Britney Spears's paintings opens at the French gallery Sympa, located in the small town of Figeac. It's called "Sometimes you just gotta play!". Apparently, the singer will present to the world works created in the style of primitivism. As an illustration and announcement of the upcoming exhibition, the gallery published one of Britney's works. The work was created by the singer in 2017, it depicts a garden at Britney's house. In social networks, the singer published a video of her painting on canvas to the Mozart music.

Spears sold her first work at a charity auction for $10,000. The buyer was the host of the show "Lifestyle Of the Rich And Famous" Robin Leach. Now he has given this picture to the gallery. Nothing is known about the singer's other works.

A dispute broke out among Internet users. Some admired the Spears's versatile abilities. Others were less positive.

"Please don't encourage this. Didn't the art community suffer enough just from her "music"?"

"Did a three-year-old draw this?"

The passion for painting among singers and actors is quite common. The world knows the paintings by Sylvester Stallone, Jim Carrey, Paul McCartney, Freddie Mercury, Johnny Depp and others. I wonder what you think about Britney's work? How do you feel about "playing on popularity" and creating a buzz around the often quite ordinary artistic abilities of celebrities?
