She Wore Her Grandmother's Dress From 1956 And Looked Gorgeous! How ''One-Time'' Item Turned Into Family Heirloom

Christina Moffet is an ordinary girl from the United States. Recently, her boyfriend proposed to her and she replied "Yes". She had to prepare for the wedding and search for the perfect wedding dress. The prospect of going to salons and sorting through dozens of dresses did not appeal to her and even seemed a little scary, so when her mother, grandmother and future mother-in-law suggested starting with trying on their outfits, she agreed. She liked her mother's and mother-in-law's dresses, but when she put on her grandmother's wedding dress, she realized it was the right one.

Of course, the dress had to be adjusted to fit Christina's figure, but otherwise it remained the same. As a result, at the wedding, the girl looked just great — like her grandmother in 1956 :)

And this is what grandma looks like now:

"Until I saw these pictures, I didn't realize how much I looked like my grandmother," the girl says.

Of course, the grandmother was very happy that her granddaughter decided to wear her wedding dress to her own celebration. And it does not look old-fashioned or irrelevant, despite the fact that it was sewn 60 years ago.

Elegant cut, neat bodice and flowing hem — it is an eternal classics of wedding fashion.

The bride's earrings also have a special meaning — her grandmother gave these earrings to her mother before Christina was born.

To support the vintage theme set by the dress, the newlyweds added stylized elements to the wedding decor and interior.

Christina says that both she and her fiance cherish family and the link between generations, and the dress has become a vivid symbol of these values. Looking at their photos, I willingly believe in these words :)

It's nice to find such touching stories among the frightening news about what is happening in the world, to look at wonderful pictures and be happy for these warm and sincere strangers. They bring back the belief that there is a lot of good in the world, no matter what.
