Painted Worlds By Roadsworth

Canadian conceptual artist Roadsworth, whose real name is Peter Gibson, works on asphalt. His works blend seamlessly with road markings or inscribed in the free space of roads and sidewalks. The artist depicts quite ordinary things that nevertheless enliven the urban space. Pedestrian area turns into a big lightning, or funny bridge, and even just overgrown with flowers. The first time the artist showed himself, drawing on the roadway a huge sign of a bicycle path, trying to draw attention to the lack of bicycle paths. Other works are also full of meaning. The work by Roadsworth was regarded by the authorities as vandalism. Nevertheless, at the hearing, the residents supported the artist, thus eliminating problems with the authorities.

I really like the idea of decorating the space of the city in this way. It livens up the routine and reminds you of many important things forgotten in the daily hustle and bustle.
