Flower Fan by Jiaran Studio

Chinese embroidery studio Jiaran Studio presents flawless flower fan. Embroidery is filigree and refined!

The fan pattern is geometric. What materials do we see? Beads, glass beads, threads, sequins, round and teardrop pearls, glass and metal decorative elements and peacock feathers that are typical for Luneville embroidery. They make an ornate pattern.

The centre of the composition is a 3D flower, the petals of which are made of sequins, and the core is created from beads and decorative elements. Despite the abundance of materials, it is light and airy, does not burden the pattern, but makes it unique. Also, it is light due to colour scheme chosen for the flower — white, pearl and gold.

The handle of the fan is decorated with a light long brush, decorated with beads, gold metal flowers, entwining natural stone.

The studio shows us the process of embroidery. We see that the artisan performs embroidery directly on the fabric, inserted into the frame of the fan, like in hoops. She embroiders with a needle and a Luneville hook, with which you can accomplish tambour stitch and thread beads and sequins quickly.
