Can you call your home happy? It turns out that psychologists conducted a large-scale study and found signs of a truly happy home. In this article I want to talk about them. You can draw your own conclusions :)

1. Mess

All joyful events result in a mess. We can't argue with that. Family holidays, noisy parties, children, pets... these things lead to a certain chaos at home. But this, according to psychologists, is the component of happiness. Mess in the kitchen or unmade bed do not always say about your sloppiness. Most likely, you are just a passionate person who enjoys life at home.

2. Memorable things

If you have things with history in your house, it means that happiness lives with you for sure. Dinner sets, inherited from your grandmother, a vintage turntable, cosily playing tunes, boxes with secrets from childhood and other lovely things in your house create unique atmosphere. They instantly bring you back to happy memories, that is why they are so precious.

3. Hobby for pleasure

Do you draw or play the piano, or maybe embroider or weave dream catchers? Psychologists are sure any hobby fills house with happiness. After all, if you have favourite hobby, waiting for you at home after a working day, you will never be sad or get depressed.

4. House plant

Green is the colour of youth and rebirth. The more flowers you have at home, the happier it becomes. Plants fill the house with comfort and air. Besides, when you need to take care of something, it fills your vitality. So, do not be afraid, plant flowers on the windowsill, enjoy their blossom and be happy!

5. Small luxury

Homes, which do not cherish beautiful things for special occasions, but use them every day look really happy. They lay snow-white tablecloths for lunch and dinner. They place beautiful candlesticks on the chest of drawers and light candles every evening. Moreover, they sleep on snow-white bedding sets, without thinking of practicality. Remember, if you add a drop of recklessness and ease to your home, you can accidentally become very happy :)
