Chocolate Boxes Instead of Easel: Miniature Paintings by Remington Robinson

The young artist from the United States became popular thanks to a series of miniature paintings in tin boxes. Remington Robinson takes an Altoids package (famous American peppermints), removes candy from them, inserts a small sheet of paper and draws landscapes.

The artist mixes paints right in the box. It turns out to be a sort of miniature easel. Remington says it's very convenient as there is no need to carry bulky equipment. Candy boxes are always with you. If you want to draw, get your mini easel and start to create.

Remington`s paintings have become very popular on the Internet. The artist sells them with boxes for hundreds of dollars. But he says that this is just a hobby. He pays landscapes in boxes 2-3 days a week. The rest of his time he plays the guitar, composes music on his computer, loves to go fishing and read.

Personally, I love little pictures by Remington. So, I am happy to share a selection of his works with you.

Do you like Remington Robinson's miniature paintings? How do you like his idea with boxes? :)
