Crocheting Shoes for Paola Reina Doll

These booties are crocheted for Paola Reina doll (33 cm). You can crochet them for any other doll with 4.5 cm foot.

Boots fit easily, the main thing is to observe symmetry in crocheting in a circle. In order to make shoes easy to wear, you should crochet a loop from chain stitches on the heel. You can make shoes of one colour or crochet the sole from different yarn colour.

For knitting, you will need:

  • yarn 100% cotton 100g/260 m (for sole);
  • 50% cotton/50% acrylic 50g/150 m (for shoes);
  • crochet hook № 2.

Sole, 2 pieces. Crocheting in a circle.

Crochet 10 chain stitches (CS).

Row 1. Starting with the 2nd CS, crochet 8 single crochets (SC), 3 SCs in 1 CS, go to the other side of CS chain and crochet 8 SCs more, 2 SCs in the 10th stitch of the chain. Total number of loops after the 1st row is 21.

Row 2. 4 SCs, 3 double crochets (DC), ×2 DCs in 1 stitch×, repeat 4 more times, 3 DCs, 4 SCs, ×2 SCs in 1 stitch× 2 times. 28 stitches.

Row 3. 2 SCs in 1 stitch, 8 SCs, ×2 SCs in 1 stitch×, repeat 7 more times, 8 SCs, ×2 SCs in 1 stitch×, repeat 2 more times, connecting the column. 40 stitches.

Cut the thread, hide on the back side and fasten.

For shoes sustainability, cut the insole from cardboard in a sole shape, slightly smaller.

The inner insole is crocheted in the same way as the sole, but do not cut the thread at the end if you will crochet with the same thread further.

To continue crocheting, there are 2 options: the first option is to sew the sole and the insole together and then crochet up; the second option is to continue crocheting up, so you will sew the sole when the top is completely made. You should sew this way: pull the needle through the whole stitch of the last row on the sole, and then through the back side of the stitch of the last row on the insole. Place cardboard between the insole and the sole.

Top.

Crochet in a circle. Mark the beginning. Note that the beginning will not coincide with the middle of the heel with 3 stitches difference.

Row 1. 40 SCs along the front side (remember that we use the back side to connect the sole)

Row 2. 11 SCs behind the back side, *narrowing (2 SCs together), 1 SC×, repeat 3 more times, 10 SCs, narrowing, 3 SCs, narrowing. 34 stitches.

Row 3. 11 SCs, narrowing, 1 SC, narrowing, 18 SCs. 32 stitches.

Row 4. 10 SCs, narrowing, 1 SC, narrowing, 17 SCs. 30 stitches.
