Laying out ''Gzhel'' Pattern

I present to your attention the video about "wool painting" or "woollen watercolours" technique.

There are three ways to create a woollen pattern.

- laying out under the glass (without felting);

- laying out on the layout, for further needle felting;

- stuffing a pattern with a needle on the finished felt.

These methods give different artistic effect and are used for different purposes.

In this video tutorial, I show the process of laying out "Gzhel" pattern for needle felting.

The layout of the picture is made on a prepared and slightly felted layout.

In such a way, it is possible to decorate various things. For example, a dress or a handbag. You can also decorate interior items like pillow cases and so on.

I used Merino wool, 18 MD.

The basis of the product is white. For the pattern take a few pale blue to dark blue shades.

Enjoy watching. I will be glad to answer your questions.
