Antonio Mora is a Spanish photographer with psychological background (University of Valencia), who after a successful career as a designer and art director decided to strike out on his own, as they say, to make his dreams and fantasies come true.

He created an extraordinary project of portraits intricately intertwined with mystical landscapes. The resulting collages are striking: the components are chosen so precisely that a viewer almost ceases to distinguish boundaries of different images.

His work is similar to photographing in double exposure technique, but these photos are placed on one another digitally. His originality is manifested in merger, in search for combinations that feel like mystery.

Having mastered digital collage technique, using various Photoshop tools, he achieved unified textures and merging of two or three photos.

His gets inspired from the portraits themselves, he plunges into imagination to create a photo that speaks of a deeper world — blurring the line between sleep and reality.

His series is called Dream Portraits, it is a striking combination of monochrome photos, forming a new dimension in which fusion of different lines and shapes becomes less obvious. A viewer seems to dream: beautiful and unsteady faces appear in tree branches, visible through the fog, and then disappear into a mysterious forest...

Subsequent digital photo processing should, according to the author's idea, make a viewer feel as if he/she belongs to a certain mystery. "These photos", says Antonio, "should open the door to our collective memory". "This will let us see amazing creatures that inhabit our inner dreams."

Urban landscapes also look harmonious.
