Oil Painting: Darth Vader Portrait on a Christmas Ball

I continue my series of portraits on Christmas balls devoted to Star Wars universe. This time I have chosen Darth Vader - Sith Lord.

I performed it in the following stages:

  • Primering Christmas ball — primer helps does not only secure the finished work on the Christmas ball but also allows to outline a sketch of the future work which greatly helped, since the ball is black, and black is not too convenient to draw with...
  • The portrait itself. It was rather interesting! There is no portrait in particular, just a mask, black mask on the black ball, so I had to play with shades of white. I think, it turned out well! What do you think? Ask questions in the comments, I will answer, and if there are a lot of questions, I will record a video with a detailed analysis.

Materials I used:

  • Christmas ball;
  • oil paint Pebeo XL.

Below is a video with detailed stages of work! :)
