Realistic Polymer Clay Dolls

Today I want to tell you about the most talented person, artist-sculptor Mikhail Zajkov. Now he is known for creating stunningly realistic dolls.

In 2009, Mikhail graduated from the Kuban State University, and from 2010 to 2013 he worked in the puppet theater. In 2013, he presented his works at the exhibition, after which he became extremely popular.

Each work is done on an individually selected look of European girls, aged 13-16, from the late 19th — early 20th centuries.

The dolls themselves are made from self-solidifying polymer clay, the eyes are manually created by the glass blowers from Germany, for the hair French mohair is used, and professional designer sew costumes.

The doll is about 70 cm tall, and the joints have a swivel base, so the doll, because of this, can take any position.

The cost of one doll ranges from 70 to 80 thousand rubles, and the artist explains such a high cost by the fact that the best and most expensive materials are used in the creation, and the work itself is very time-consuming.

Dolls are so similar to the real alive girls that looking at them, involuntarily you get goosebumps.

Such talented people live in our country, so polymer clay is not only for flowers, decor and decorations, but also for such beautiful creatures as dolls.
