Today I want to introduce you a wonderful virtuoso Noriyuki Saitoh and his creations.

Japanese designer Noriyuki Saitoh makes his insects out of bamboo. This work is so thin that it is difficult to imagine how this material can be used to make microscopic parts of wings, legs, antennae and other parts of the body of insects. Bamboo is a hollow tube, and it is necessary to cut and balance all the parts to make it look realistic.

Looking at his insects, you get a sense of life and movement of his creations. All his insects are made in full size and are made strictly according to the drawings. Since bamboo is difficult to work with, the artist replaces some parts of an insect`s body with implausible, fictional ones. But, even with a closer look, these differences are almost imperceptible.
