Jewellery and embroidery in the form of insects have become trendy recently, and it is not going to give in, so various bugs and butterflies are as relevant as ever. In this tutorial, I will teach you how to make a "Fly" brooch, which will be a bright addition to any look.

For work, you will need:

• leather;
• felt;
• monofilament;
• quill;
• glue gun;
• brooch blank;
• 1 oval crystal;
• 2 Marquise in a frame;
• bugle;
• sequins;
• rondels;
• beads color 29980, 59155, and 47010.

Time of work: 3 hours.
Level of difficulty: medium.

It is better to embroider a brooch on felt, it should be as tight as possible. For wings to be the same and smooth, draw auxiliary lines.

Thread a needle to make a knot, fixing the oval crystal with your fingers, sew it securely with a few stitches.

In the same way, make the wings.

To close the empty space, select a bead or crystal of 4 mm.

Next, embroider the contour of the body. To do this, I use gold rondels and beads, so that they look up, thread them, and passing the bead, pull the needle through rondel.

The body is volume and shiny, so you will need sequins and beads of two different colors. Leave the needle at a distance of 5 mm from the yellow crystal and alternately, as in the photo, strung the material on the needle and sew directly near the central element.

Also, fill the whole body of the brooch.

Now it can be cut, do it as carefully as possible not to damage the stitches.

Go to the back side, take a piece of leather and glue the brooch blank to it.

To fix the clasp, cut out a neat rectangle with curly scissors and glue it too, then fix it with a few stitches.

Using a glue gun, connect a fly and the inside out, cut again.

The next stage is edge processing. To do this, thread the needle to make a knot. Stringing beads, begin to sew it, leaving a few millimeters from the edge. It is important to leave 1 cm thread with a knot free to fix, you will hide it later.

Holding the edge of the knot, so that it does not fix, pass the first bead again, but already passing the needle from the bottom. Now with each subsequent bead you will do the same until you process the entire edge.

When there's about 1 cm left, do the same, holding the knot from the bottom, so that stitches hide the tip.

Now, begin to make the wings and antennae. To give the effect of openwork, thread 3 beads and pull the needle through the adjacent bead. So triangles are formed to decorate the wings.

Proceed to the antennae. To do this, thread the bugle and bead and return to the same thread, bypassing the beads. When the edge is completely ready, withdraw the needle inside out and back several times to fasten the thread.

The brooch is ready and can become a bright part of your everyday look.
