Video Tutorial: Interior Panel Alcohol Ink Technique

In this tutorial, I will show you how to work new for Russia technique. People who see the final version, ask, "Wow, is it watercolor? Batik? Then what?"

In fact, for this work you need:

  • synthetic (non-absorbent) paper, you can take an ordinary white ceramic tile (even and smooth!);
  • airbrush (you can take a hair dryer);
  • isopropyl alcohol (not more than 200 g in this format, even 100 g);
  • alcohol ink (3-4 colors are enough).

The tutorial is quite meditative, interesting and in any case you will find an unusual result. The only thing I would like to draw attention to -if you work for much time, be sure to wear a respirator and ventilate the room (isopropyl vapor in a certain concentration can adversely affect the state of health), wear gloves because for safety and also because it is very difficult to wash your hands after finishing.

So, as you can see, it turns out the work of pure water, oh, alcohol. Firstly, be sure to moisten paper/tile with isopropyl and start. Try to avoid sharp jumps of the fluid beyond which you would not want to leave the picture. If it happens, something that doesn`t suit you -moisten a cotton pad with the alcohol and just wipe the place to the original purity.

Work then be sure to sign under the glass (inks don't like UV).

Good luck in this interesting and new direction!
