Today I will tell and show you how you can use a key case blank to make a beautiful, convenient, unique (no one else will have exactly the same) key case.

I use a billet with 6 carbines, the case will be closed on the button, and there will be a pocket for cards or tickets inside.

You will need:

* cotton for the outer part of the case;

* cotton for the inside of the case;

* interfacing;

* push button;

* key case blank;

* threads;

* needle;

* sewing machine;

* manual installer for punch buttons;

* manual installer for hallatrow.

When printing patterns, set the printer settings to "actual (real) size". The pattern is attached to the tutorial as a separate file.

The size of the finished closed key case is 13.5 * 6 cm.

Let us get to work!

Cut out two main parts and the pocket without seam outsize of the interlining. From the main and lining fabrics cut out one large part with seam outsize.

On a pattern of the pocket, dashed lines show bend place. Cut out the part of the lining fabric with seam outsize.

Iron the interlining to all three details.

Fold the detail of the pocket in half and iron the fold.

Put the pocket detail on the lining detail as shown in the photo and sweep out with each other.

On the main details and the details of the lining, iron the seam inside.

For the main part, find the middle and step back 3.5 cm from the edge. Set a point. This is the place for the installation of punching buttons.

Use a punch and hammer to make a hole. The diameter of the punch is 2 - 2.5 mm.

In this part of the product, set part of the button without a cap.

Push button part into the hole and place the counter part on top.

With the help of the manual installer buttons, fasten the parts together.

Put a suitable stick on the button parts strictly perpendicular, hit the hammer on the stick once and strongly. If the details button and the product remained at a distance, then once again put the stick perpendicular to it and hit hardly and once.

Details of the button should fit tightly to the product. There should be no distance between the fabric and the button details.

The main part of the case and the lining piece fold together, seam outsize should be inside, between the parts. Cleave and sweep the two parts together.

Lay the seam around the perimeter of the product.

Find the middle of the product and mark the point at a distance of 1 cm from the edge. This is the place to install the second part of the punch button.

Use a punch and hammer to make a hole.

Push the snap button into the hole as shown in the photo. The cap of the button should be on the outside of the product.

On the back side of the product will be the back of the button.

Insert the elongated tip of the second stick to install the buttons into the recess of the button details. The place exactly perpendicular to the stick, hit the stick with a hammer once and hardly. If the button is not sufficiently adjacent to the product, once again put the stick in the recess and hit it with a hammer hardly and once.

The metal workpiece is put inside of the finished case. Mark points for installation of the hallatrow.

Make holes in the intended locations with a punch.

Insert rivet and burr in the holes.

On the inner side slip on the legs of hallatrow metal blank, from top to wear beanies hallatrow.

Using the manual installer install rivet and burr. The principle is the same as with the buttons. Put the stick perpendicular. Beat the hammer on the stick several times, but once strongly.

The case is ready! The is the inner side.

Outer side.

Metal billets for the case can be of different sizes. With 6 carbines and 4 carbines. And different colors: brass, silver, dark silver. There are also sewn blanks for the case. That is, the workpiece is sewn to the product, so you do not need and installer for hallatrow and rivet and burr themselves.
