Scarf Edge Neating

Today I want to present you a tutorial on how to neat a scarf edge with a role seam.

This seam is great for scarves of silk, thin cotton fabrics, fine wool, linen.

One of the ways of this processing will be shown here.

Firstly, you need to cut out the right size for a skarf of fabric.

For example, there is a fabrc of 1 m 40 cm wide, not less than 40 cm long. Do not forget to cut the edge, then measure what you get, and do the calculation. That is, for example: left 1 m 36 cm after the cut edge. Now divide these 136 cm by 34 cm, and in the end you get 4 scarves.

This is to understand how to make the required size. Maybe you will need a size larger or smaller, this is up to you.

So, cut. Now I put the fabric on the table, and then place a rectangular pad on the table (I have foam).

Put a needle in a thread, tie a knot.

Insert the needle into the fabric at a distance of 3 mm from the edge.

Fold exactly under the first puncture, under the fold, grab 2 threads in the fabric with the needle,

do the next puncture, inserting the needle diagonally across to the top of the crease, then just under that puncture again grab the 2 strings in the fabric, then diagonally to the top of the fold.

Sew 3 centimeters and slowly pull the thread, holding at the beginning of the seam by the knot.

Pull it up to the knot.

Continue to do it to the corner of the scarf.

(from top: edge, fold, fold towards yourself)

How to make the corner is shown in the video:
