The creation of collections is always influenced by various sources, theories, concepts, historical events. Couturiers challenge traditional cut and volumes, generate ideas of displacement, change the ideals of male and female beauty and create a new, fantastic and almost perfect, in their understanding, image.

The collection of the Fashion House of Dior seems, at first glance, a little simple: laconic forms of clothing line are made in crazy-patchwork or patchwork technique!

Patchwork in the style of crazy just implies a certain madness: a chaotic mixture of colors, textures and shapes. So, you will not find the logic to sew one piece to another, even the "carelessness" of compound scraps joint by "overlap", and subsequent decorative embroidery, which often looks rough and not so elegant, remind us of the main "key" to understanding the collection — complete madness and lack of logic, which was previously typical for most collections by Dior.

Yes. Dior surprised and delighted.

Maria Grazia Chiuri, who holds the post of creative director, created an expressive and eye-catching collection, subordinating it to the basic laws of design art: to create stylish things, you do not need to follow generally accepted dogmas and canons, you need to "neglect" them. But the way designer will follow — it is his choice, his flight of creative thought, and I would say, its the power of the spirit!

Let's take a closer look at the collection. The show resembles a classical theatrical performance with an introduction, culmination and denouement. Patchwork clothes are shown in the central part of the perfomance. At first, a sophisticated viewer met fairly calm outfits and he did not understand where he would "lead" such a "refined and feminine author", a romantic designer, creating evening luxurious dresses with numerous lights of rhinestones and an abundance of luxurious embroidery, but not! The audience saw patchwork. This is provocation! The amazement of the public was achieved, and this meant only one thing — a complete triumph!

As I said, the basis of the collection, in my opinion, is its Majesty Chaos and it manifested itself in everything: primarily in the materials used and types of decoration. What is not there: and transparent organza, and embroidered silk, and Jersey, and cage, and prints, and braid, and even faux fur. And the fur, in turn, is used both without drawing and in the technique of fur-patchwork. Interesting? Are you intrigued?

Beautiful embroidery in Dior style contrasts with smooth-colored canvases, spectacular textured cells with openwork outfits, a huge variety of silhouettes and shapes, even colored or just darkened glasses, black laconic shoes and boots in patchworkon technique of its background. You may see stunning contrast and intensity of passion everywhere, vanity and stunningly-naive simplicity! Everything is mixed, and thus resembles the same FLAP that lies chaotically and accidentally thrown, but it is a FLAP that gathers the entire collection together and the seeming chaos takes strictly balanced features of order and harmony: a variety of "model-scraps" formed a marvelous and integral "canvas" of the incredible collection!

So, the new Dior is extraordinary and stunningly bold, elegant and, as always, luxurious!
