Rural Paintings by Reint Withaar and Their Country Coziness

His paintings are warm, lively, and volume. Meet Reint Withaar, a Dutch artist, and his country coziness.

Hasty city life sucks us into a crazy pace: you are to run somewhere all the time, you are to do something, hurry and hurry... How about we take a break for a minute? Let's stop in the nearby village of Reint Withaar, let's inhale fresh air, which can be found only in the village, with herbal and floral scents, listen to cows bells who are walking through the meadows. They are there, can you hear? Sheep bleat in a funny way, and a cat warmed by the sun was purring on the porch :) Well, chicken... it is impossible to imagine a village life without the voice of a cock :)

I think the paintings of this artist are alive: he did not just capture a moment, he stopped this mood, colors, emotions and gave them to us, and then, this picture continues its life with a flow of your imagination. Here everyone will find a cozy corner.

The artist was born in Amsterdam on July 29, 1928 and had been drawing since childhood, his first lessons were given by his father, an artist. Raynt devoted all his life to landscapes and continued to create until the last day of his life (he died 11/03/2015). "Village painting" is the main and favorite genre in the artist's work. He loved the village so much that in the 60s he moved to a small rural town and opened a gallery of his paintings there, filling it with more and more paintings that he created, inspired by walks around the neighborhood. You may have a look at his "Village painting" collection below.
