The Great Architect

An architect, who left behind fantastic and unusual houses, believed that they did not consist of walls. The most important things were windows. The architect had always had opponents, stating that the bright buildings as if homes for dwarfs, were not for people. The brilliant troublemaker became famous all over the world because of his special outlook on art.

The Austrian artist known for his environmental consciousness planted thousands of trees, believing that it is the duty of every person. Thinking that the world is better explored by practice, not through textbooks, the young man started travelling, trying to find his art style.

Spiral line was his favorite. Being a bit surrealist, a bit abstract artist and even avant-garde artist, he painted it. Friedrich Hundertwasser created mind-blowing bright paintings and graphics with curly lines. His style of "endless line" has become one of the Austrian emblems.

Changing countries and cities, the artist was horrified by the same houses. In his opinion, everyone has the right to paint their window and the space near it.

He even developed a project, describing his ideal home. The buildings designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser surprise by unusual lines and bright colors, he believed that a person should live in a comfortable hole with many windows, topped by green vegetation. By the way, he made his dream a reality in New Zealand. He built a house with a roof smoothly rolling into the hill, and local sheep come to grass on it.

Often being published in architectural magazines, the most famous house in Vienna had been under constrution for several years. As soon as it had been made a local landmark, it was put into place, and got filled, though the cost of an apartment in a colorful building, reminding of a gingerbread house from a fairy tale, was high.

Everyone creates his/her own world. We decide where, with who and, what`s important, how we live ourselves. We create our own "home", fill it with people, colors, smells, memories, and hopes. Sometimes this house is great, sometimes it is terrible, but definitely unique as a unique pattern on a snowflake. May those who were able to create something amazing and inspiring be in joy. May the crancks, waking others up and making them see the world differently by their creativity, be in bliss.

The work of the great artist is reflected in the work of modern artists.
