Fashion Paintings by Paula Sanz Caballero: Ironic Themes of Fabric Samples

Paula Sanz Caballero is an artist and fashion Illustrator originally from Spain. Her works are published in the most famous magazines and her exhibitions are held all over the world. Paula manually creates ironic paintings from pieces of fabric and fur. Usually she portrays the life of fashionistas from high society, her characters are often shown with a package from a boutique in one hand and a glass of champagne in the other one. The faces of the characters and some of the outlines are embroidered, and feathers and buttons are the real, miniature.

The artist surprisingly accurately conveys the movement of figures, natural lines of clothing, and most importantly, the mood and humor of what is happening, and the fabrics in the paintings-collages are so luxurious and varied that I really want to touch them. I think it's a real tactile pleasure!
