DIY Decorative Snow

Materials:

1. Flock or velvet powder.

2. Acrylic lacquer on a water basis, or white glue, or glue.

3. Alcohol (for degreasing the surface)

Tools:

1. Thin brushes.

2. A cotton bud.

3. A toothpick.

4. A sheet of paper.

Fix a fully finished brooch in an upright position. Put a sheet of paper under the stand to be able to carefully collect and pour the excess of flock.

Wipe the berries beads with alcohol (to degrease the surface), using a cotton bud.

Next, apply lacquer with a thin brush (I use glassy water-based lacquer), it can be replaced with acrylic lacquer, white glue or glue.

Without waiting for the lacquer to dry, gently sprinkle the twig with flock (velvet powder).

With a toothpick we try to distribute and slightly "press" the flock on the surface of the twig.

Leave for a couple of hours to let the lacquer or glue dry.

Then use a soft brush to "swipe" the excess flock.

Then apply the second layer of lacquer (glue).

Without waiting for drying, sprinkle with flock.

The double method of application ensures that the snow "will not come down" even in summer :)

Wait until it is completely dry and shake off the excess flock. It can be poured into a jar and re-used :)

You can imitate snow this way not only on decorations, but also on Christmas toys and decor.

I wish you lots of creativity!
