Facets of the Beauty of the World, or 12 Months of Red-haired Girl's Life by the Eyes of Lena Kap

Today I want to share with you a very vivid impression of the amazing project by the Lithuanian photographer Lena Kap — "12 Months of Her Life."

Here's what Lena says about the project: "The girl was led by her mother. The 10-year-old model was very worried that red hair, curls and freckles were disgusting and the girl's mother wanted to show her that she was really wonderful. Thus not only 12 images, but also a self-confident girl were born."

What a great way to cope with teenage fixations! Indeed, looking at these amazing portraits, you can see the extraordinary natural beauty. In portraits there is nothing superfluous, they are filled with purity, spirituality and genuine emotions. After such a project one will feel like a beautiful princess all her life :)

On the Internet I found interesting facts about the redheads. It turns out that according to statistics, only about 20 people per thousand have red hair. And most of them live in Scotland and Ireland (13% and 10% of the population). There is a theory that a small number of red-haired determined not only genetically, but also historically — in the Middle Ages red-haired people were considered evil and a huge number of red-haired women were burned on charges of witchcraft. So...

But in our time, the redheads are very often subjected to ridicule and bullying from peers since the early age. Maybe this strange perception of the redheads, especially among children, has remained from the dark times?

The talented artist from Lithuania helped us to see such beauty.
