Luz Camino and Her Extraordinary and Amaizingly Beautiful Jewelry

I continue the cycle of publications about unique and very talented jewelers and this time I want to tell you about Luz Camino. Luz Camino is a woman, a jeweler from Spain, known for her innovative approach to jewelry design using a variety of materials and gems, she is not afraid to work with very expensive and simple stones, she works even with mundane materials such as tin cans! Luz admits that she doesn't care about the value of the materials, the most important thing is the design. She has no special education, only jeweler's courses in Madrid, she attended them on the advice of her husband. She doesn't like publicity, she prefers to sell her jewelry personally, without intermediaries. However, her works are in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, London's Victoria & Albert Museum and New York Museum of Arts and Design.

Luz draws inspiration in nature, she loves to watch the stars and dream about the peace in the whole world, one of the most famous of her jewelry is the Fragmented Africa large bracelet that depicts the map of Africa of gold. Sapphires mark an area in Kenya, where there is the largest camp for refugees from Somalia (600 000) now.
