Let's Master a Unique Technique of 'Dreamcatcher' Weaving

I want to give you a little tutorial on a weaving pattern for a "Dreamcatcher".

It can be used both for the main circle and for the small hung bases.

I made this "Dreamcatcher" using this pattern on the big and small circles.

That's how beautiful it turned out.

I'll show you how to make a pattern on a small circle.

For the small circle I used a fragment of a child's toy, the rainbow.

Here are the materials I've used in the fabrication of this pattern.

1. Wrap a ring from a rainbow toy with duct tape so that it is solid.

2. Then tightly wind the ring with wool thread. As in my example. You can wrap with anything — acrylic yarn, cotton thread, trim or whatever you can think of.

3. In the end I carefully smeared the threads with glue and cut.

4. Make the first row. Divide that ring equally. I made 6 intervals.

5. Begin the second row. We divide each division by five little divisions, try to make sure they have the same size.

6. Begin the third row, put a needle through the middle of the small division.

And do so to the end.

In total, we got four small divisions of five.

7. With the fourth circle we also put a needle in the middle of the small division and at the end we have three divisions of four.

8. And continue, make two divisions of three in the next circle.

In the photo you can see that I am out of the thread, but that's ok, I will tie another one and continue. In the end, neatly smear these threads with glue and nothing will be visible.

9. Well, we continue, make one division of two.

Put a needle in the middle of the division.

10. In the end we have this weaving.

11. For decoration I took beads. You can do so or as your imagination suggests, there is no limit :)

It is desirable that the threads are stretched, then the dreamcatcher will look very beautiful.

I wish you creative inspiration and flight of fancy!!!

I hope that this tutorial will be useful for your creative process. Thank you!!!
