Sorceress of Botanical Illustrations — Anna Mason
  • Category: Ideas & Inspiration

Botanical watercolors are my weakness! Let me introduce you to the real sorceress of botanical illustrations Anna Mason. Our contemporary lives in London. Attention — she is a self-taught artist! She began to draw in 2008. Her watercolors are amazing! They are live, three-dimensional, with stunning attention to detail! If it is a peach — it has a soft velvety fuzz on the surface, if it is a plum — a matt wax coating, which was accidentally brushed with fingers, exposing the gloss of skin underneath. If it is an apple — everything is drawn up to marks and drops of dew roll on the juicy side. And the flowers?! There is a variety of recreated shades, every wrinkle, vein, translucency to the light. We have a real artist, who is in love with this world and her love lives on the tip of a brush! :)
