Magical Freeform Crocheting by Mandy Greer

MAGICAL FREEFORM BY MANDY GREER

This performance happened a long time ago but I wanted to remind all lovers of freeform crocheting.

You have never seen anything like this! Mandy Greer is a sculptor and an installation multimedia artist, her artistic works are permanently exhibited in major museums and galleries in the United States. Mandy Greer creates anthropomorphic art and theatrical sculptures and compositions, imbued with deep philosophy.

The project "Mater matrix mother and medium" was first created in a park in Seattle in 2009. And then it repeatedly traveled and the crocheted river flowed in other cities and villages. This project was joined by a lot of people that little by little, piece by piece, by small elements created an amazing huge freeform installation.

The dancer Zoe Scofield revived the image of water. Photo by Jennifer Zwick, styling and editing — Mandy Greer. By this performance the Mandy Greer's team wanted to draw people's attention to the value of clean water. Because without water life on earth is impossible.
