10 Rules for Craftswomen

10 rules for craftswomen, which will help you to make your creative process more efficient. They say that brevity is the sister of talent, I will try to take this into account.
So let's go!

The first rule. Plan your working day, and this is a strict time, a time when you are most efficient, invest maximum in it, the real maximum of what you can do and soon your maximum will become a norm. Divide your workflow into two halves. Spend most of the time on work and 1/3 of the time on advertising and marketing. Don't forget advertising — it is the engine for trade!

The second rule. Stay focused, do not get distracted and don't let your family and friends distract you, convince them that you are at work. Do not mix you activities, during the creative process there must be no social networks and movie series, (by the way you can save electricity this way) and vice versa — no needles and knitting crochets when you promote your shop!

The third rule. Work on two products at once to make your hobby fun and productive: a couple of hours on one product and a couple of hours on another one. When you switch from one to another your eyes do not get so tired, and the interest in creative process increases significantly. It works!

The fourth rule. Do not eat and do not snack at your work place — it leads to excess weight, eat only in the kitchen and at the dining table. Cook healthy food, eat from beautiful dishes, do not overeat, heartburn and heaviness in a stomach are bad not only your for body, but also for the creative process!

The fifth rule. Get up early with the sun and go to bed not later than 23:00. Be sure to get enough sleep, excessive fatigue will not bring you joy and will shrivel your source of creativity. Do not work in the dark, at this time our body is in a stage of complete rest. Do not overwork, tomorrow will come!

The sixth rule. When you plan all your days don't forget that Saturday is a cleanup day. Sunday is a day of active rest, walking in any weather and shopping (I love the most the last one!). Be sure to schedule a two-week vacation — it is like a breath of fresh air when you dream, make plans for the future, sunbathe, swim, travel. Note there is not a word about the needlework...

The seventh rule. Don't be blowzy, take care of yourself, you are a lady and not old gray stockings. At least twice a month, go to beauty salons — clean and well-dyed hair, smooth eyebrows, neat manicure and fresh complexion will be appreciated not only by you.

The eighth rule. At the end of the day clean up after yourself! Threads on the floor, unfinished products, beads on a table, fabric on a sewing machine, yarn on a sofa — all that's annoying for your loved ones, do not impose you working activity on other people. Share with your friends only the finished works and products, be sure to praise yourself!

The ninth rule. Exercise for at least 20 min a day or go to a fitness class 3 times a week. The fact is that for millennia, people have done physical work, and thus survived. Body is adapted to such activity. And now it is in such a state that without sufficient physical activity it starts to degrade, and we, needlewoman, with our sedentary lifestyle self-destruct directly. Yes, you know how important it is to move and to what lead the consequences of inaction in a literal and figurative sense!

The tenth rule. Dedicate evenings to the people you love. The happiest seamstress is the one which has two names: mom and honey!

Appreciate your time!
I wish you all good mood and great sales!
And how do you plan your day, dear needlewomen? And what of the proposed rules is the most difficult?

Yours, Olga! :)
