365 Days of Miniatures: Tiny Paper Birds by Indian Artists

In the beginning of 2018 the creative duo of artists from India Nayan Shrimali and Vaishali Chudasama started a project "365 Days of Miniatures". Every day they cut a new tiny bird from watercolour paper and paint it. In the authors' collection there are bright tropical creations and modest forest birds.

Works are assembled from many parts, and artisans call them "2.5 dimensional". The size of some babies is only about two centimeters! Production of each bird takes about 4-6 hours. The finished work is often photographed in a "natural environment", for example, on the sand or on a branch, which increases the effect of volume and realism. Artists tell us that during these months they have learned a lot about the living world.
