Painting a Christmas Ball: a Dolores Umbridge Miniature Portrait with Oil Paints

I'd like to share DIY videos with you more often, but they take a tremendous amount of time... One lesson takes about 3 hours of shooting or about the same amount of time for editing... And the result is a 10 min video. So during the break between the educational program I prepared for you a small demonstrative DIY on drawing a miniature portrait of the heroine of Harry Potter books — Dolores Umbridge.

I made it by the following steps:

  • Drawing with a pencil on a primed ball.
  • Coloring.
  • Trace drawing.

I used the following materials:

  • a Christmas ball;
  • Pebeo XL oil paints;

I hope you liked it! :) Write in comments what else would you like to see or learn! :) Soon I will make a video about 10 most popular mistakes when working with transfer paints! :)
