How to Find a Constant Source of Inspiration: Paintings on Tea Bags by Ruby Silvious

Ruby Silvious is an artist from New York. She draws amazing miniature paintings on used tea bags. Her work is a game changer in the secondary use of things. Day after day she captures moments from her everyday life or copies the works of famous masters.

It all started in 2015, when Ruby lost her job as an interior designer. She decided to become an Illustrator, but that work lacked stability. Searching for inspiration she gave herself a task: to draw something on a bag of tea every day. It worked! Her work became noticed online and she was invited to work in some publishing. In addition, she published her own book "363 days of tea" with photos of her works and still continues to paint miniatures which made her a well-known visionary author.

Sometimes Ruby goes on a "creative journey" depicting her experience on tea bags. As a result she makes a whole exhibition of it.
Works from the series "The 26 days of tea in Japan":

"26 tea days in France":

She draws on different unusual materials, for example, she paints egg shells.

She makes dresses of tea bags (they are rather objets d'art):

This story of finding her own creative journey reminded me of the book "Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron with her daily morning pages and artistic dates. Let's take a look at these touching miniatures, each of them surprisingly represents its special mood.
