A Copenhagen Resident Adorns the Whole City with Floral Mandalas

A resident of Copenhagen Mie Buch Andersen has been decorating the urban environment around her for 4 years with unusual floral patterns that please all people who witnessed the results of this labour.

The symmetrical mandala as a sacred image in Buddhism and Hinduism helps to create order out of chaos. The external becomes internal harmony. Mie uses the geometric and colour features of plants growing within the city and lays them in amazingly beautiful compositions. She makes them in places where, in her view, the harmony lives. Thus, here and there, the urban space is blooming with amazing patterns. The author tells that it is simultaneously a form of therapy and meditation. With each new mandala, the woman is getting a little closer to her goal: to capture, to complete and perpetuate the impression.
