I want to show you how to make a quite lovely linen cosmetic bag.
You need

• flax condensed with dublerin
• cotton lining
• zip
• one button
• a few pieces of coloured cotton for decoration
• a sheet of heavy paper or (better) plastic
• a little fleece

Cut out:

• two flax rectangles 22 cm by 18 cm
• one flax rectangle 22 cm by 13 cm (pocket)
• a flax rectangle 18 cm by 8 cm with rounded corners (valve)
• duplicate all parts except the pocket out of lining
• 3 paper or plastic squares 4 cm by 4 cm.

Let's start with the decor. Take a square and glue on a piece of fleece on it:

Now take a piece of cotton:

Apply them on the valve and stitch:

Put the second part of the valve with the face down, stitch around three sides:

Turn outside in and iron. Insert the button:

Treat the tips of the zip:

Now collect a sandwitch: flax + flap + zip.

And lining.

Stitch along the zip, unfold, steam iron, add a decorative seam along the zipper. One edge of the zip is sewn.

Sew the second edge of the zip the same way.

You get such blank if you unfold it:

Pin the pocket with the lower part of the button in it:

Unfold the outer parts face to face and the lining, too.

Stitch around the perimeter, leaving a hole for turning:

Join the side seam with the bottom seam and stitch them across shaping a voluminous bottom.

Cut off excess fabric along the seam.

All is ready. Turn outside in and steam iron. Enjoy your creativity!
