Milana Shupa-Dubrova, the creator of surprisingly tender and sad dolls, lives in Kharkov, Ukraine. An economist by training, Milana has always been fond of sewing, knitting, drawing. Six years ago she visited a workshop on making dolls for her friend. The process was so addictive that it was impossible to stop. Over the years, the skilled craftswoman has made more than 60 dolls, each in a single copy. Milana admits that duplicating is not interesting for her and she never makes dolls to order.
