Today I want to remember some inspiring facts about her life. If you describe her in a few words, she is a romantic philosopher.

Bright.

Resilient.

In love with life.

In love with colours.

In love with the people: for her, every person is beautiful.

And when you look at people and the world, all come true.

Her family is not poor, but her childhood is the times of the Depression.

What did her mother tell?

Buy a little black dress and you will always have what to wear.

And Iris had a little black dress and a huge collection of scarves and pieces of jewelry she used.

She met her future husband when she was wearing something incredibly bright.

And for all the years (almost 70), it was a happy marriage with surprises, pleasures, and support.

Her husband had lived for more than a hundred years.

But seriously, that couple has created an entire industry.

Iris came up with fabrics for the best fashion houses, although she began with sketches for herself.

I am a real romantic. I never buy anything just because it is valuable. My husband says that I look at a piece of cloth and listen to its threads. They tell me stories. They sing songs to me. I should get a physical reaction when buying something.

Remember, I'm the world's oldest teenager.
