Soap Bubble Walls Fascinated Visitors of a Biennale in Venice

Riccardo Blumer Studio with a team of students has created a machine for exhibiting at the XVI Venice Biennale of Architecture. The device is programmed to create a wall of soap. The idea is to show the fragility of the barriers and conventions, add an element of the game to life and to create a movable architectural space.

Such walls are barely visible in the photo, they can be distinguished with the reflections of light. As soon as a section of the wall bursts, a new one is 'erected'.

Visitors were allowed to speed up this process, what they have gladly accepted :) The 59-year-old architect explained that this idea has been born out of the desire to teach students to see the importance of the game. 'We're at school, we play. Games help us to bring up', he said. 'A game is a fun but it is very difficult to come up with!'

The project is on display until the end of the Biennale on 25 November 2018.
