Decorating a Tray in the Shebby Chic Style

I want to share a DIY on creating a tray for sweets.

1. As always, start with sanding and priming.

2. I take a plywood sheet with the thickness of 6 mm and removed the top layer — the top layer are put at the bottom of the tray and glued.

3. The gaps are painted black. The same is done with the tray, I paint all angles. After drying, I rub all properly with wax.

4. Then cover the tray with turquoise paint. The boards inside are covered with a white primer.

5. I leave the tray overnight to dry. The next I sand all again.

6. Glue the image. Varnish it over. After drying, apply varnish for ageing.

7. Apply the rest of the boards with the varnish for ageing. And I make one more complementing object — a shabby vase:

8. There is a very cute set for sweets at the end :)
