Painting a Miniature Cat on Nacre to Create a Cool Pendant

Today you will see how to create a pendant with a piece of nacre of 2x2.3 cm and a hand painting on it.

Prepare your workplace. The palette is cleaned and wiped, squeeze drops of oil paints in the colour sequence and to pour a little jar of linseed oil. I use very little synthetics brushes shown in the photo.

Carefully sand nacre to make it matt.

Then slightly oil the surface and begin to work!

Watch the video to follow the making process.

When finishing another layer, it must be thoroughly dried and covered with a car varnish like Moby Hell or Novol. Each layer of painting after varnishing is polished and then you continue to paint.

I painted the cat in 4 steps, the last layer is varnished, too.

Avoid dust during work!

After I painted the cat, I started looking for a bezel. I had it cast with 925 sterling silver and got a wonderful handmade original jewelry!

Create, love and be happy! Wish you all the best!
