How to Sew a Linen Bag for Table Napkins or Trifles

All is simple and easy!

Tools and materials:

  • 2 pieces of linen cloth: 60-70 cm by 18-22 cm
  • if the fabric is thin, get an additional layer of fleece or thin batting
  • pencil (chalk)
  • scissors
  • needle
  • thread
  • sewing machine
  • something round as a template with a 16 cm diameter

Sew a simple tube out of a piece of linen.
Cut out two round details for the bottom, pin them to the tube:

And stitch together.
Make the same blank (tube + round bottom) and sew their edges together:

Turn them outside in through a hole you need to have left:

Sew up the hole.

Iron and stitch the top of the bag. Iron the whole bag.

All is done! The bag is used for all trifles.
