Touching Watercolours by Russian Grand Duchess Olga Romanova

I quite often see works at auctions attributed to Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna. They've conquered my heart with simplicity and sincerity. For several years, a decent collection of her watercolours has been being noticed. I want to present or just remind of them.

Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna is the youngest daughter of Emperor Alexander III and Empress Maria Feodorovna. She grew up in the Gatchina Palace near St. Petersburg. Her relationship with her mother didn't work, the first marriage also failed and ended in divorce. Later Olga married Nikolai Kulikovsky. She's one of the few members of the Imperial family escaped from the October Revolution. She lived in Europe and Canada, outlived all grandchildren of Alexander II. Like her father, Olga Alexandrovna preferred a simple life. She painted more than 2000 watercolours that allowed to support the family and do charity work. The Grand Duchess died at the age of 78 in 1960.
