Amazing Things around Us: 20 Miniatures by Tanaka Tatsuya

Have you ever found yourself thinking about broccoli resembling little trees, light marshmallow looking like fluffy snowbanks, and autumn leaves could easily pass for boats, rhythmically swaying on the surface of a lake?

Japanese photographer Tatsuya Tanaka finds inspiration in such ordinary thing, turning them into parts of completely fantastical worlds. The artist maintains a Miniature Calendar — an original project to which new shots have been added every day since 20 April 2011. And they're never repeated!

I like following these updates and today I bring some pieces of the project to your attention — a selection of 20 mini-dioramas of 2017. Pleasant viewing! :)
