DIY Project on Dot Painting a Cup

I would like to share with you a DIY on painting a cup. It will be easy and interesting :) At the end, you'll gain a pleasant experience and an original piece of craft. Let's start as soon as possible :)

The work takes 3 - 5 hours depending on your patience.

You need:

- a cup

- contours for glass and ceramics (blue, white, dark violet, violet purple, turquoise, blue purple, dark blue)

- pattern

- pencil

- chalk

- needle

- sticky tape

- cotton swabs

- a little alcohol

- inspiration :)

The printed pattern is transfered on a paper through glass. The size is calculated from the amount of elements you want to repeat (I had 4). For that, measure the circumference of the top and bottom, divide by the desired number of repetitions.

Once the template is in your hands, turn it and strike with a chalk of light colour. Then degrease the cup with alcohol. Glue the pattern with the chalked side to the cup and follow the lines of the pattern with the pencil.

In place of pressing circle will remain a trace of chalk, we pre-struck on the other side. If necessary, the excess traces of chalk can be erased with a cotton swab. You get white chalk lines on a dark cup. Start painting!

Start from the centre. Please note that the chalk marks are easily erased, try not to touch them with your fingers.

Alternate colours at your discretion.

Move on, repeat the steps:

Fails should be washed away immediately.

The second element is ready :)

Contuniue:

Don't put dots at the edge where lips touch it. Leave to dry for a couple of hours. Remove the traces of chalk and pencil with alcohol. Admire your work :)

For reliability, a little later, you can bake the cup in the oven.

Bon appetit and much inspiration!
