Creating a Miniature Winter Picture with Felted Snowfall and Embroidered Village

Christmas is comming! It's time to prepare gifts :) This winter picture will become a pleasant surprise for your nearest and dearest. You can also decorate a pillow, a make-up bag or anything else.

Materials:

- a little wool of different colours

- needle for felting

- brush for felting or a thick sponge

- embroidery hoop with a diameter of 10 cm

- felt for the base

- embroidery floss of different colours

- beads

- a piece of cardboard

- fabric for decorating the back side

- polyester batting

- needle

- scissors

- glue

1. Cut felt square 14×14 cm. Draw a sketch with a pencil. Stretch the felt in the hoop.

2. Put a felting brush or a sponge under the hoop. Tear off small pieces of wool using the needle for felting and make the houses colorful.

3. Felt the roof and snow.

4. Take out the blank from the hoop to fill the pattern at the edges.

5. Fill the background and smoke from chimneys. Now windows and the houses immediately become inhabited.

6. Process the whole picture carefully with the needle for felting, leveling all. And now the most interesting — embroidery. Sew the outlines of the houses, trees, roofs. You can use various decorative stitches.

7. Sew red beads on Christmas trees and white beads of snowflakes. Carefully pull the work into the hoop. Cut out extra edges.

8. Embroidery is coated with glue inside and felt edges are glued.

9. Make such a backside blank from cardboard, the diameter is about 11 cm. Glue fabric on one side and fold the edges.

10. Insert batting, felt it a little. Stick the backside blank to the hoop.
