A professional embroiderer and a graduate of the Royal School of Needlework, Helen Richman works for her personal company The Bluebird Embroidery at her home in Somerset, England. She also conducts training and seminars for individual participants and groups. This is a collection of eight most famous animals that live on the British Isles. They are embroidered with silk thread in the technique of shadow satin stitch which perfectly captures the texture of fur and feathers. Helen Richman has spent a lot of time looking at photos of each animal, capturing their movements and expressions.
