The theme of embroidery seems truly inexhaustible: the diversity of techniques, methods and styles inspires artists for many centuries. But every time I surf the Internet, something amazing and new is found.

Today I would like to share with you my latest discovery — works of Canadian artist Hélène Kardos. Her landscape sketches embroidered with a satin stitch immediately captured my mind with bright, rich colours. Look closer and notice how the author adds volume using details from polymer clay and felt strips. In my opinion, this unconventional approach raches the very zest to distinguish an individual style.
