A Witch Called Pumpkin: A DIY on Creating a Doll Brooch

I offer you to make a doll brooch, a little witch called Pumpkin.

This doll can be used as a brooch, pendant, Christmas ornament or a cute funny souvenir.

Find the following materials and tools:

  1. Polymer clay to sculpt the face and hands.
  2. Acrylic painting.
  3. Hot glue.
  4. Transparent Moment Crystal.
  5. Moment glue.
  6. Felt.
  7. Floss.
  8. Waxed cord.
  9. Kanekalon.
  10. Beads.
  11. Wire.
  12. Yarn.
  13. Monofilament.
  14. Base for brooches.
  15. Needle for embroidery.
  16. Stacks for modeling.
  17. Brushes for painting.
  18. Pliers.

Start!

First I make the face of the doll. Knead polymer clay. Make eyeholes with fingers.

The nose.

Shape it:

Add mouth:

The upper lip:

The lower lip:

Sculpt and work with a toothpick:

Apply the chin:

The cheecks:

Make eyes:

The lower eyelids:

The upper eyelid:

Attach the upper eyelids.

Add more volume:

Smooth all:

Bake the face of the doll in the oven:

Make and bake the hands, here are four steps how I made one hand:

Start painting the doll:

After that, design a costume for the witch. First, work with paper:

Use the template to cut out felt details:

Glue the doll's head with hot glue to two pieces of felt.

Add hands:

Glue all parts of the costume:

Stick a large detail to the backside, add a dress and shoes.

Embroider the edges around all details:

Emphasise the neck of the doll:

Embroider the contour of the hat:

Apply the strands of kanekalon to the head:

Glue hair to the head:

And sew to the hat:

Give her a broom from floral wire and black yarn:

Finish the broom. Wrap the wire with black yarn, glue it. Adorn the end of the broom using the orange floss. Make loops to attach the broom to the doll at the back. Sew to the base. Make a loop to hang the doll.

Add a pumpkin button from polymer clay. Sew the pumpkin to the dress.

That's all! Witch Pumpkin is ready.
