Enchanting Bug with Moving Wings: Making an Original Brooch on Your Own

I want to show you the process of making a bug brooch with moving wings.

You need:

- oval stone (I had jasper)

- a bead 10-12mm (natural pearls)

- black crystal rondels 5х6 mm — 6 pcs, green — 2 pcs

- black crystal rondels 3х4 mm, 14 pcs

- brown crystal bicone 4 mm 2 pcs

- black, green, copper beads No.10

- brown cut beads No.15

- wire for legs and antennae

- brooch clasp

- jewelery rings 7-10 mm, 4 pcs

- non-woven base for embroidery

- cardboard

- black and brown leather

- threads for bead embroidery

- glue

- needle, scissors, pliers

First, sew the oval bead to the base, then a pearl and green crystals = the eyes, and a black bead for the head.

Decorate the big bead with crystals around the perimeter:

The gaps between the beads on the head are filled with copper beads.

Then carefully cut off the excess of felt around the contour.

Bend the legs and antennae, apply them to the body.

Sew the paws and antenae to the back side of the embroidery.

Cut out the body of the bug and perfect the back.

Mark the holes to insert the brooch clasp.

Insert and glue the clasp, glue the piece of the leather to the embroidery.

Cut off the excess leather.

Perfect the edge with black beads according to the scheme:

Cut out the wing pattern from paper, transfer the outline to the base of the embroidery.

The contour is embroidered with cut beads No.15, fill the wings with embroidery.

Embroider 2 rows with green beads = bicones + cut beads.

Sew rings at the top.

Form the shape of the wings with cardboard, when sticking, apply a round tube to make the shape convex. Hide the carboard under black leather and embroider the edge with copper beads.

Attach the wings: make holes in the neck with the pliers, insert rings, put on the wings and close the rings with the pliers.

The bug is ready! Fly!

That's all! See you soon!

Inspiration to you!
Yours,
