A Splash of Colours in Traditional Indian Embroidery

From early childhood, I wanted to visit India watching Indian films and absorbing all this incredible splash of colours, the richness of outfits and the improbability of jewelry of Indian beauties. I haven't done it yet, but visited an Indian fair in my city. And the many stores took me deep into their colorful world for some hours. One day, wandering among the rows of bright Indian goods, I bought a few pillowcases... At that moment I thought only about how much time is spent to embroider all this manually.

There is a large selection of patchwork cushions below embroidered with beads, sequins, threads and other things that careful needlewomen will distinguish as pieces of collars, and hence, parts of dresses, saris and shirts :)
